Mary Ann Padgett entered eternal rest and is now in the arms of the angels on April 28, 2018 at her home with her family at her side.


Friends may call Thursday (05-03-18) from 4-7 pm at the Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home, Inc, 32 State St. Seneca Falls. A Funeral Mass will be Friday 11 am at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, East Bayard St. Seneca Falls with Rev. Mike Merritt celebrant. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, Canada at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made in the name of Mary Ann Padgett to NYCC 2360 Rt. 89 Seneca Falls, NY 13148 or to St. Vladimir Institute 620 Spadina Ave. Toronto, Ontario, M5S 2H4.


Mary Ann was born in Toronto, Canada July 10, 1934 the daughter of Steve and Stella Zwarich. Mary Ann worked at the Canadian Chiropractic College prior to marrying her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Padgett, D.C. Mary Ann had a passion for life and was a wonderful friend to many. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the American Chiropractic Association and dedicated her life to supporting her husband Dr. Kenneth Padgett and the chiropractic profession.


Mary Ann loved flowers and was an avid gardner. She was a life time member of the Federated Garden Club of NYS. She was also a member of the Seneca Falls Country Club. Her home always displayed flowers from gardens. She also loved to cook and shared her creations with everyone. Mary Ann loved to entertain. She welcomed friends and family to her home at all times.


She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Kenneth Padgett. Brother-in-law Donald {Becky} Padgett, Ashboro, NC, niece Redona{Mickey Geelan}, Jordan, NY, Nephew Rodney {Patricia} Padgett, Orwell, OH, Sister-in-law Jan Zwarich, Toronto, Canada, cousin and special friend Joan Boudreau, Toronto, Canada. Mary Ann was predeceased by her parents Steve and Stella Zwarich and her brother William Zwarich

Izola "Zoe" M. Noble, aged 94, died peacefully April 30, 2018, at The Home of the Good Shepard in Malta, NY.



Zoe was born in 1923 in Christian County, Missouri, the daughter of Henry C. and Rena (Denney) Bookout. She married Claude "Buck" A. Noble in 1943 and returned with him to his hometown of Clyde, NY in 1944. In addition to raising four children, Zoe worked on their small family farm and was active in the local Grange organization.



Zoe was a very creative person. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and crafting. In her later years, after moving to Seneca Falls in 2005, she was an active member of the quilting group at Seneca Falls First United Methodist Church. She was also an avid Yankees baseball fan.



Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Claude Noble; two sons, Larry Joe (Glenda) Noble and Leslie (Susan) Noble; sister, Phyllis McMurray; daughter-in-law, Karen Noble. Survived by her daughter, Claudia (Joe) Allison; her son, Ronald "Skip" Noble; siblings, Ruth Hemmer, Vivian Bookout Chauvin, and Darrell (Ruth Fern) Bookout; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many loving family and friends.



Izola’s family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Home of the Good Shepherd and Community Hospice for their care and compassion throughout her final journey.



Contributions may be made to "The Birthday Fund" at Seneca Falls First United Methodist Church, 2 Chapel Street, Seneca Falls, NY 13148. This fund was suggested by Zoe as a way to raise funds for church renovations. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Seneca Falls United Methodist Church at 11 AM on May 26, 2018. Remembrances may also be made to The Community Hospice Foundation, 310 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY 12208.

John W. (Bill) Barrett, 79  of Sackett St. Seneca Falls passed away July

31, 2018 at the Ontario Center Rehab. Family and friends may call

Tuesday (08-07-18) from 10 am until noon at the Sanderson-Moore Funeral

Home, Inc. 32 State St. Seneca Falls. Memorial service will follow at

12:00 with Pastor Terry Fenton of the Bible Baptist Church officiating.

Interment with full Military Honors will be at Sampson Veterans Cemetery

in Romulus.

 

Born in Seneca Falls the son of Esley J. and Marjorie Cory Barrett. Bill

was a life resident of the area. He served in the U.S. Navy and also the

U.S. Army from 1955-1965. He married Arlene Wade in 1969 and they would

have celebrated their 48 th anniversary in October. Bill was a Master

Moulder at Gould Pumps in Seneca Falls for over 36 years. A member of

the Kirk Casey American Legion Post #366 in Seneca Falls. A life member

of the North Seneca Sportsmen Club. Bill enjoyed hunting in his younger

years. He was an avid reader and loved his garden and was a great family

man.

 

Survived by his wife Arlene and five children: Step son Michael F. Bell,

CA. Kathlene Ann Simmons of Virginia, Jeffrey L. (Joan) Barrett, Geneva,

Cherrie J. Deming, Waterloo and Shirley Y. (Brian) VanDemortel also

Waterloo. Sisters: Nancy Davis of Seneca Falls and Shirley (Randy)

Swiden of PA. Six grandchildren: Lauren Deming, Ben Deming, Tyler

VanDemortel, Holly Barrett, Kaleigh Simmons and Molly Simmons and three

great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters:

Mable and Charles Turner and June and Nick Nicandri. Brothers Paul and

Esley Barrett.

Susan C. Foster, age 65 of Seneca Falls, NY passed away at Strong

Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 20, 2018 after a long illness.

 

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted by

Fr. Brad Benson at Trinity Episcopal Church at 11 am on Wednesday

November 28, 2018. The burial of her ashes will be in The Memorial

Garden behind the  church at a future date. In lieu of flowers,

contributions can be made to Trinity Church or the Seneca Falls Library.

 

Susan was born on January 7, 1953 in Lyons, NY, the daughter of John W.

and Florence B. Foster. Susan was a 1971 graduate of Mynderse Academy

and she received a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY at Oswego, NY in

1975. Susan's career included working for Guaranteed Parts and Goulds

Pumps Water System.

 

Susan loved fishing, watching Nascar Racing and WWE Wrestling. Susan

always enjoyed planting and arranging flowers, taking long rides in the

country and attending the Farmers Market.

 

Susan is survived by her mother, Florence B. Foster of Seneca Falls,

sister, Carol L. Foster of Newport, Oregon, brother Jackson S. Foster of

Pittsburg, Pa. Two nephews Johnathan N. Dean and Matthew C. Dean. She

SENECA FALLS — Ret. SFC Richard Louis (Sarge) Tifft, age 70, passed away

at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., on Sunday (Jan. 20,

2019) with his loving family by his side.

 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., (Feb. 2) at the Calvary Chapel

of Seneca Falls, NY (2291 Rt 89) with full military honors. Following

the service, a celebration of his life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. for

family and friends at the VFW Post 1323 on Fall St. in Seneca Falls,

NY,. Burial to follow at Spring Brook Cemetery at the convenience of the

family.

Sarge was born in Sapulpa, OK, on May 5, 1948, as the youngest of 10

children to the late Louis Hudson Tifft and Maybelle (Buckner) Tifft.

After graduating from the Compton (L.A.) High School in California, he

enlisted in the US Army and served his country proudly for 24 years.

During one of his many tours of duty abroad, he met and married the love

of his life, Gisela (Proksch) Tifft, on May 6, 1978. The couple had two

children and following Sarge’s retirement from the Seneca Army Depot,

the family decided to stay and make the beautiful Finger Lakes area

their home.

 

Sarge was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 366 and VFW Post

1323 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. He served as Commander of Post 1323 for

multiple terms. He was the Sergeant and a proud member of the Post 1323

Color Guard and marched to the end, even when it became physically

difficult. The VFW was his passion; he worked countless hours at both

district and local levels making a difference in the lives of many

veterans and in numerous VFW projects and efforts. He was a hard worker,

known for his straightforward and frank approach as well as his

boisterous charm. He put his family above everything and was a wonderful

husband, father and proud grandfather. His memory will always be cherished.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gisela Tifft; his

children Jamie Sue (Mike) Davis and Jimmy Wayne Tifft; his beloved

grandsons Gavin, Garrett and Elliot Davis, all of Seneca Falls; his

siblings Shirley (Bob) Hoover of Bakersfield, Calif., Jerry (Barbara)

Tifft of Sapulpa, Okla., Bob (Ellen) Tifft of Sapulpa, Okla., Mary Jo

Moss of Bakersfield, Calif., Matilda Gregory of Sapulpa, Okla., Bill

(Janie) Tifft of Manitoba, Ariz., Della Helsley of Bakersfield, Calif.,

Carolyn Reynolds of Sapulpa, Okla.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law

Elwa Robbins of Sapulpa, Okla., Monika and Karl Mayer of Gillenfeld,

Germany, Walter and Sylvia Proksch of Dreis-Brueck, Germany, and his

Aunt Rachel Patterson of Anaheim, Calif.; numerous nieces/nephews, great

nieces/nephews, cousins; his beloved goddaughter, Kayla Stilwell of

Seneca Falls, N.Y.; his best friend, Brian Adams; as well as his many

other friends and fellow veterans at the American Legion and VFW.

 

He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gustav and

Johanna Proksch of Gillenfeld Germany; his brother, James Robbins of

Sapulpa, Okla., his bothers-in-law Heribert Proksch of Bielefeld,

Germany, Werner Proksch of Weisbaden, Germany, Harold Gregory and Mote

Reynolds both of Sapulpa, Okla., and Oscar Moss and Bud Helsley both of

Bakersfield, Calif.; his nieces Cindy Davis and Verna Jackson both of

Bakersfield, Calif.; as well as his great nephew, Leo Heinz of

Gillenfeld, Germany.

 

We want to give special thanks to Dr. Bernold and the caring staff at

Interlakes Oncology, to the incredibly helpful staff at the Canandaigua

VA, Lifetime Care in-home nursing and the staff at Strong Memorial

Hospital for the wonderful care given to him.
