Kathleen Rogers Deal

Kathleen Rogers Deal, age 71, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at the Hildebrandt Hospice Center in Greece, NY. She was surrounded by her devoted husband of 40+ years, Mike, and her loving daughters, Shannon and Carah.

Born and raised in Seneca Falls, Kathleen graduated from Mynderse Academy in 1971, where she proudly served as the captain of the cheerleading squad (which was recently honored with induction into the Mynderse Academy Sports Hall of Fame). She furthered her education at Maria Regina College, a Catholic junior college in Syracuse, NY.

During her younger years, Kathleen worked at her father's frozen food company, Rogers Food Sales, where she developed a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility that she carried throughout her life. She was known for her fierce loyalty and unwavering love for her family and friends, always ensuring those around her were cared for and supported.

Kathleen had a genuine passion for flowers and shopping. She lovingly tended her cherished peony garden, often supplying blooms to Sinicropi Florist. Her creative floral touch could also be seen in the arrangements she curated for her daughters' various recitals and performances. When it came to shopping, she made sure her three grandchildren were always dressed to the nines.

She is survived by her faithfully steadfast husband, Michael Deal; her beloved daughters Shannon (Ryan) Perry of Naples, FL, and Carah (Kevin) Pioli-Hunt of Williston, VT; and her three adored grandchildren, Dominic and Mia (Shannon and Ryan Perry), and Louie (Carah and Kevin Pioli-Hunt). She also leaves behind six siblings: Jim (Lettie) Rogers, Diane (Dan) Kirsch, Colleen Culver, Kevin Rogers, John (Deborah) Rogers, and Terry (Angel) Rogers, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Edwin J. Rogers Jr. and Elizabeth (Lux) Rogers; her younger brother, Brian Rogers; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Palma (Moracco) Deal.

Calling hours will be held at Sanderson-Moore Funeral Home in Seneca Falls on Sunday, January 19, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, Monday, January 20, at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls.

In honor of Kathleen's lifelong love for animals, especially her five cherished cats over the past 30+ years, donations can be made in her memory to the Beverly Animal Shelter in Waterloo, NY.
